  • Prepare, oversee, and maintain project schedules
  • Develop and review requirements and monitor their implementation and applications to ensure that business needs are met
  • Provide business and technical expertise to assist in planning and managing FDA projects
  • Provide technical writing capabilities in support of technical and program management project decision-making, and monitor program status and identify any trends as they become known
  • Generate technical documents as a result of meetings, planning sessions and special initiatives
  • Interact with government and contractor teams to help manage and monitor project progress, risk, issues, and track action items
  • Prepare reports and brief management in support of project goals
  • Meet with end-users and business owners to elicit, analyze and understand current business processes; identify gaps and document requirements
  • Assess and evaluate IT solutions based on the organization and prioritization of requirements gathered
  • Develop weekly and monthly status reports identifying issues and risks, and documenting the status of each work assignment and plans for the following reporting period
  • Assist in the creation and finalization of EPLC project artifacts
  • Participate in project Stage Gate and Baseline Reviews
  • Schedule meetings with the project team, stakeholders and other participants; prepare agendas; and take meeting minutes including discussion points and action items
  • Develop new standard operating procedures (SOPs) or update existing SOPs, as needed
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, panel discussions, conferences, etc.
  • Support quality processes by reviewing team documents and following standard quality processes

Required Experience

  • Ten (10) years of professional experience
  • Experience with managing MS SharePoint with a team of users from different divisions/departments/programs – managing content, driving behavior (enforcing deadlines and consistent input)
  • Experience with developing communications strategies and plans that provide organizational objectives and consistent messaging across multiple divisions/departments
  • Experience with both internal and external communications
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Demonstrated initiative in thinking creatively and conducting independent research to simplify complex problems and communicate recommended solutions to others in a way that is clear and easy to understand
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with IT projects/programs
  • Process-oriented; results driven
  • Ability to deliver in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly adept at building relationships

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of FDA policies and systems

Education and Training

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business related field
  • PMP Certification preferred
