Project Description
DRT is responsible for functional and technical Operations & Maintenance (O&M) support for two of mission supportive web-based database management systems with our confidential client. These systems integrate fiscal accounting with property accountability to support the Department’s agencies and mission areas.
Job Summary
DRT is seeking a senior-level developer with experience in Oracle Application Express (APEX) and Oracle database systems to provide technical support for two enterprise-level property management systems. Within this project, our company is responsible for requirements, design, development, system testing, functional and technical documentation, supporting quality assurance and user acceptance testing, and preparing deployment packages/scripts. Daily work is performed remotely.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new or updated Oracle APEX application pages and shared components based on supplied business requirements.
- Develop quality code in accordance with the appropriate government-approved coding standards that conform to documented requirements and functional/technical design.
- Prepare technical design documents with the appropriate government-approved templates. Develop and execute unit test plans and document the results.
- Conduct technical design document walk-throughs, knowledge transfer sessions, and code reviews with government team members as requested.
- Provide LOE estimates for development including technical design, coding, and unit testing as input into the approval process and release schedules.
- Resolve service requests by working with users to address system issues and preparing scripts for data updates as needed.
- Provide recommendations for solutions to complex business problems or technical upgrades to maintain the operating environment of the systems.
- Provide status updates and participate in requirements/design meetings and release planning meetings as required.
- Provide mentoring or guidance to other developers including informal code reviews and reviews of technical deliverables.
- Senior-level knowledge and skills (e.g., five or more years of experience) in designing, developing, testing and maintaining complex programs using Oracle APEX (or similar) and SQL/PL-SQL programming languages.
- Senior level experience in the development, testing, maintenance, and administration of IT applications, with comprehensive knowledge of the principles and techniques of systems analysis, design, testing, and program documentation.
- Strong understanding of relational database design, including PL/SQL logical structures and advanced features of Oracle databases.
- Ability to analyze and investigate problems in programs, conduct feasibility studies, develop technical design specifications, and create / execute unit test plans.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Technical Skills: Oracle (12c or later), Oracle APEX 22.1 and later, SQL/PL-SQL, Javascript
- Experience working with Oracle APEX Office Print
- Experience working with toolsets such as Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, and SQLcl
- Experience with Oracle database administration and/or server environment
- Experience working with government accounting or financial systems
- Knowledge of federal IT environments, security standards, and compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- $105,000-145,000
- Salary commensurate with experience.
